How ACP Meets PI 26 Requirements
Professional Development
In order to assist staff in delivering ACP services, the following practices are employed:
Involving our Business Community
Creating and maintaining a relationship with community business partners is promoted by listening to the needs and concerns of employers in our area. Working collaboratively with area school districts, we survey area businesses and host a listening session where they can share how workers ages 16-25 are meeting the challenges of the workforce.
The results of the 2017 survey completed show that employees in this age group are strong in technology and math, and weaker in dependability and customer service interaction. This information is used to guide student career preparation.
- Individualized career planning within advisory group
- Xello access and lesson plans provided by school counselor
- Formal Process (for all students by all staff)
- Weekly dedicated advisory time
- Yearly student/parent/teacher planning conferences in grades 6-12
